metroConnections Completed Meeting Management for NEDA, NUTSEA
October 12th, 2009

Minneapolis-based metroConnections completed contracts for meeting management of two strong, prominent organizations; NUTSEA and NEDA.

Minnesota Rural Electric Association and Great River Energy, both of Maple Grove, Minn., hosted the 67th Annual Conference of Alaska-based NUTSEA (National Utility Training & Safety Education Association). Attendance was estimated at 125 attendees. Services for this conference included full meeting management, which entails food/beverage, AV, onsite operations, and exhibit coordination. In addition to full meeting management, metroConnections also provided transportation services.

Washington-based NEDA’s (National Eating Disorders Association) annual conference was designed to address the needs of families of those affected by eating disorders. They selected metroConnections for full meeting management, online registration services, production services for their general sessions, and management of break-out sessions.

“From start to finish, our experience was terrific,” says Laurie Vanderboom, Director of Programs of the National Eating Disorders Association. “I was always kept informed about every aspect of our event and the attention to detail was amazing. The metroConnections staff felt like they were part of our own staff family by the time we ended our conference. I\'ll be relying on them for their expertise again next year without a doubt!”

Leading the Meeting Management team was Kim Zach, a leader in the meeting management industry. She was supported by Stacie Karkhoff. “I consider Kim to be a premier planner and her service is impeccable,” says Tom McCulloch, Vice President of Conference Services at metroConnections.  “Kim and Stacie are a great team. Not only are they professional and personal, they always have the best interests of our clients’ front-and-center.”

The attendees for the NEDA and NUTSEA conferences met in Minneapolis this past September, 2009. Both conferences were held at the Hilton Minneapolis Hotel.
