| metroConnections awarded two “Best of the Industry” awards March 10th, 2010 |
 metroConnections was named “Best Teambuilding Facilitator” and “Best Event Production and Décor Company” by the readers of Minnesota Meetings + Events magazine. This marks the seventh year the company has been recognized by the magazine\'s readers. Also the 2008 winner of the same category, metroConnections received recognition for “Best Teambuilding Facilitator” as the leader of team and interactive events for corporations and organizations big and small. “Friendly competitions designed around philanthropic missions have been very popular in the past year,” says Sam Thompson, CEO of metroConnections. In 2009, metroConnections worked with companies who supported charities such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Ronald McDonald House, Second Harvest Heartland and the US Armed Forces. As the recipient of the reader’s choice award for “Best Event Production and Décor Company,” metroConnections was honored for its outstanding event décor and production services. “When we started this company 25 years ago, we just wanted to provide planners with outstanding services for their meetings and events,” said Thompson. “Today, we’re doing exactly that and it has been a privilege working alongside the brightest and the best in the industry to produce the best events around.” The awards were presented to the winners on Thursday, March 4, 2010, during an evening reception at the DQ Club Room at TCF Stadium. |
