Freelance Blog Writer

metroConnections is seeking a Freelance Blog Writer on an ongoing project basis for one blog per month (1,000-1,500 words per blog, 10-15 hours per month).

metroConnections’ blog content primarily supports the marketing of metroConnections and its services for corporate meetings, conferences, and events. Content may include thought leadership articles, industry insights, planning tips, client success stories, destination highlights, and SEO-driven website posts designed to attract and engage event planners and corporate decision-makers.

Project Requirements include the following:

  • Write original, engaging, and well-researched blog posts aligned with metroConnections’ brand voice and target audience.
  • Develop content based on provided briefs, outlines, marketing goals, and service offerings.
  • Interview internal service area experts.
  • Conduct independent research to support accurate, relevant, and compelling content related to corporate meetings and events.
  • Edit and revise drafts based on internal feedback and marketing objectives.
  • Optimize content for SEO using targeted keywords and best practices to increase visibility and lead generation.
  • Collaborate with internal team members regarding messaging, service positioning, deadlines, and editorial priorities.
  • Participate in the collaborative content development process supporting marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
  • Participate virtually in meetings to review project goals and content needs. 

The Freelance Blog Writer will determine and provide the method, details, and means of performing the above-described services. The projects can be accomplished from the Freelance Blog Writer’s location of choice; in-person attendance is not required.
